![]() So I can plonk a nord down on one tier of a stand, a synth on the other, hand a sound guy two cables and be up and running :) That is an awesome suggestion for sure. I also really want an all in one piece of gear. I have been using portamento for all my bending up to now. The touch surface instead of a traditional mod wheel/pitch bend was a no go for me in the end. The CV abilities of the key step were very interesting. ALSO - there is a glitch in the neutron making mod wheel/after touch unusable via midi. ![]() ![]() I have the roland A-49 - it was a freebie! The pitch bend on it is unusable. I pondered the keystep very seriously when I got the neutron a few years ago. FYI - I am not interested in the polysynth possibilities of the NiftyKeyz. I am looking at over double the price to build my own with the Niftykeyz. I am leaning towards MIDI so I can trigger all the Envelopes and LFOS without patching, at the possible expense of the usability of the Neutron's oscillators.Īny huge negatives to this I might be missing? I think 25 keys is fine. It looks like it could work either as a CV controller or a midi controller. Giving you a synth with 4 VCOs, 3 LFOs, 4 ENVs, 2 filters to choose from, 4 vcas, multiple overdrive options, delay, extra S&H circuit, slew (and now a shortage of mults and attenuators again) wow! It happens to be built to accommodate how I want a synth to behave. That little guy will be all I need for many of my gigs.įor full synth beast mode the Minibrute 2 looks like an awesome controller for the Neutron. If I got this I can accomplish 1 and 2 by just using the Minibrute 2 - no Neutron. I am thinking of switching to the Arturia Minibrute 2. The plan was to fill the rest of my HP with a matrix mixer, VCA, envelope, and mults/atts for expressive playing purposes. Eliminating a separate controller is helpful. My primary reasons are:ġ)The cheap Roland mod wheel/pitch bend from current controller are unusable.Ģ)I need a faster setup for some of my live gigs. I was going to start dropping pennies from my gig money to buy the Niftykeyz controller to house my Behringer Neutron.
